Good Shepherd strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for all of our children, youth and vulnerable adults. To this end, and in accordance with Archdiocesan policy:

• All people 16 years of age and older who volunteer with the above groups are required to attend, in person a “Protecting All God’s Children” safe environment training session.  These sessions are offered at Good Shepherd and around the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas throughout the calendar year.  Current sessions can be found here. Select Kansas City in Kansas (Archdiocese) in the drop-down menu.  Follow the registration prompts to sign up for a session.
• In addition to attending the training, volunteers submit to a background check and agree to the Archdiocesan Code of Ethical Standards, the Child Protections Policy and the Harassment Policy.
• All parish and archdiocese employees must attend the training and abide by the above policies.
